Five9 Network Systems Introduces the S2225 and S2405 Flash Optimized Servers

Five9NS announces two new high density flash servers based on Intel's® latest Sandy Bridge Microarchitecture™

"Our Systems, Your Way"

Five9NS’ development team is leading the way in adopting flash as a new memory tier that provides ultra low latency performance to accelerate applications both in the data center and the cloud.

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) August 29, 2012

Five9 Network Systems today announced significant enhancements to its PCIe NAND flash optimized server family based on Intel’s® Sandy Bridge Microarchitecture™. The previous S2220 shattered IO performance and capacity records, packing 20 TB of PCIe NAND flash storage and providing over 2.7 Million IOPS in a 2U/ 2-socket server.

Two new members now join the product family, the S2225 and S2405 PCIe NAND Flash Optimized Servers. The S2225 scales up to 40 TB of PCIe NAND flash storage, double that of its S2220 predecessor extending performance to over five million IOPS! A companion to the S2225, the S2405 doubles CPU capacity to four sockets, provides up to 1TB Memory and up to 20TB PCIe NAND flash capacity to deliver the best overall performance in its class.

“Going well beyond what traditional servers can support, these new products from Five9 Network Systems will enable customers to maximize the benefits of PCIe NAND flash technology in their Cloud and Data Center environments,” said Souheil Saliba, CEO of Five9 Network Systems.

Traditional server vendors certify and list compatibility with 3rd party options such as PCIe NAND flash. Taking a major step beyond compatibility, Five9 Network Systems provides a family of servers that optimize the ROI for those data centers leading the way in deployment of PCIe NAND flash memory.

The S2225 and S2405 represent a new class of products for enhanced performance in on-line transaction processing, eStores, financial trading, on-line gaming, entertainment networks and DoD applications requiring maximum capacity, density and performance, as well as an additional 2X to 3X in server and SAN consolidation.

“The software defined Fusion ioMemory platform uniquely enables our ioDrive products to scale with the abilities of Intel’s Sandy Bridge microarchitecture, delivering powerful performance in solutions like Five9 Networks’ S2225 and S2405 Flash Optimized servers,” said Tyler Smith, Fusion-io Vice President of Alliances. “Five9NS' development team is leading the way in adopting flash as a new memory tier that provides ultra low latency performance to accelerate applications both in the data center and the cloud.”

List price starts at $23,500 for the S2225 configured with a single 365GB Fusion ioDrive2 MLC with expansion capability up to 40TB PCIe NAND flash in the same 2U chassis.
